You now have access to the Berg collection of e-journals focusing on culture and the visual arts. New journals are available on fashion, photography, textiles, design, craft and sociology. Berg content is peer reviewed and authoritative.

The publishers of Nature have just launched a new journal. Nature Chemistry aims to publish the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of chemistry, including cross-disciplinary areas. In addition to primary research it will include review articles, news and research highlights, and book reviews. The first issue is now available via our catalogue.

5 RMIT Research Repository is live
RMIT's institutional digital repository was launched in April: www.rmit.edu.au/browse;ID=miky7mflwtoz
This means RMIT's research output can now be held in the one place and searched via the web, providing free access to RMIT's research publications. Benefits include:
- enabling harvest of the records by major search engines such as Google
- increasing the impact and citation rates of RMIT's research publications
- facilitating collaboration between researchers through easy exchange of information
- preserving RMIT's research output for the future.

6 Extended opening hours at Swanston Library in May and June
Swanston Library will again be open for extended hours in the period leading up to exams.
Hours will be further extended during the exam period.
Extended hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:
From Monday 18 May until Thursday 18 June Swanston Library will be open 8 am – 12 midnight.
Extended hours on Fridays
During the exam period, from 5 June until 19 June, Friday hours will be 8 am – 10 pm.
Extended hours on Saturdays and Sundays
During the exam period, from 6 June – 21 June, weekend hours will be 10 am – 8 pm
