USDA Offers Food Safety Tips In Preparation for Tsunami Warnings in American Samoa, Guam, and Hawaii

With a tsunami warning, the highest alert level, issued for American Samoa, Guam, and Hawaii after a powerful earthquake struck Chile, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is providing recommendations to residents in those areas to minimize the potential for foodborne illnesses due to power outages and other problems often associated with flooding.
